Christmas smile
This Christmas story is two thousand years old but ever new story! There are so many sad events happening every day and bringing us pain and sorrow. But time passes and all is forgotten. And if the story of a child who was born in a cave "in frost and cold" two thousand years ago even now remembers with great affection, then some special reason for it should exist. All ancient peoples had expected the Savior, who would solve all of their problems.
The prophet Isaiah seven hundred years before the coming of the Messiah spoke to his people: "... see the light coming, it will make the world shine with truth ...". Modern man wants justice, peace, prosperity for all, health, calm and quiet prevail throughout the world.

The mighty of this world, politicians, heads of nations, the administration at all levels promise, promise, but do little or nothing, so today mistrust and pessimism reign in our souls. It is this boy from Bethlehem shows us the solution and announces it to the shepherds, the first. In those days they were the lowest category of people, and even the law did not allow either a shepherd or shepherd to testify in court.
If you find an opportunity to stop in front of the image of Christmas, to consider it, it will come as an omen to thee. The serene calm of a little child will awaken your senses. And a smile will touch your lips. And you will see a path leading to peace and quiet.

A quello ci aiuta a contemplare il Verbo di Dio, fatto carne" ... che si spoglió sè stesso, assumendo la condizione di servo. (Fil. 2-2.7) Cristo ha detto anche: " .... eppure io sto in mezzo a voi come colui che serve .(Lc 22.27) perché appunto come il Figlio dell'uomo, che non é venuto per essere servito, ma per servire e dare la sua vita in riscatto di molti (Mt 20.28)

Il tuo Gesù si addormentava sul tuo seno, perché ti sentiva Madre nella percezione più intima di tenerezza che annulla le paure, di premura che dà fiducia nella vita. Io mi ritrovo spesso a venerarti in immagini che non hanno quasi più nulla di umano, ma di devozionismo barocco quasi magico-sacrale, simile, in certi casi più eclatanti, ad un tranquillante che serve a poco, anzi a niente.

Uma reflexão
A liturgia desse domingo de tempo comum nos convida a descobrir um Deus cujos caminhos e pensamentos estão acima dos caminhos e pensamentos dos homens, quanto o céu está acima da terra. Sugere-nos, em consequência, a renuncia aos esquemas do mundo e a conversão aos esquemas de Deus.
A primeira leitura pede aos crentes que se voltem para Deus: " Voltar para Deus " é um moviemento que exige uma transformação radical do homem, de forma que seus pensamentos e ações reflitam a lógica, as perspectivas e valore de Deus.
